We teach toddlers, kids, teens and adults in private, jam, band and group lessons.

In keeping with our philosophy of learning through enjoyment, connection and community, our lessons and classes are fun-focused, while still covering all the fundamentals of musical theory and practice.

We customise our lesson plans to suit the student’s learning styles and desired outcomes.

Through jamming, game-based learning, socialisng, performance opportunities and our well-resourced music library, Penny Lane’s promises a rich, engaging and relaxed learning experience.

Live performance is an important part of our school culture and many of our students have formed their own bands and solo acts and are getting out and about into the local and national music scene.

Group Classes:

  • Baba Lala

    Our signature class for babies and toddlers. Together we celebrate all the precious milestones with the help of rhythm, melody and movement. With an emphasis on multi-cultural song, self expression and creativity, we explore our ability to connect and learn through the magic of music. More information here.

  • Discover Music

    Musical fun for 4-6 year olds! Discover Music sessions are a game-based introduction to music lessons designed to help uncover younger children's natural musical talents and affinities in an encouraging and playful atmosphere. We explore a range of instruments, and this program is a natural extension of Baba Lala. More here.

  • Rock School

    A fun and skill-building experience as participants learn to jam, write songs and collaborate in a vibrant social atmosphere. All abilities are welcome, and everyone is free to experiment with different instruments and styles. We run this course for both teens and tweens.
